Welcome Back
Welcome back Plymouth students! It's crazy how much things have already changed from sophomore to freshman year just in these short few weeks back. First of all, the dorms... Being stuck in Geneva Smith last year really made me appreciate the little things in life, like my own shower. Therefore, there was no way I was living without one this time around. Getting a student apartment didn't work out, so Langdon Woods it is. Move in day was flawless, no traffic and plenty of empty white bins hanging around to stack my life into. A double room with plenty of floor space for countless activities, air conditioning, and the real kicker, our own bathroom! And let me tell you, this bathroom is no rundown little room either; it's actually quite nice. There's plenty of space for two girls in our room. We have our three tapestries covering the walls, and posters and pictures covering whatever white area is exposed after that. Unlike Smith, we have real walls here in Langdon... No more jail cell concrete walls that are completely incapable of holding any homey item upon them. And, my favorite part, we have carpet! No more cold tile floors during the winter and no more massive hairball tumbleweeds flying across the floor (Girls, you understand what I'm talking about). Smith just wasn't a home to me last year, with it's lackluster appearance and horrible setup. It's a new year, a new room, and I can't wait to see how unreal round 2 in Plymouth is about to be.
