Dhall

We all know Sodexo doesn't have the greatest quality food by any means, but just when I thought the dinning hall couldn't get any worse, they take the sandwich line away at dinner time! The classic turkey and American cheese on a spinach wrap was always my go to meal my freshman year when the main line/grill was serving some unidentified meal for dinner. This year at the dinning hall Sodexo decided to remove the sandwich line all together after lunchtime. Our options in the dinning hall are already slim to none, unless you consider a bagel and cream cheese a 5-star entree. With the removal of the sandwich section during the evening I've been forced to eat an egg white omelette not only for breakfast, but also for dinner now. The bland "fresh" omelette's are starting to get real old, real fast. So Sodexo, WE WANT SANDWICHES AT DINNER. Or, if that is too much to ask, at least serve us a quality main line meal every night. Add variety, switch things up, and stop adding so much salt to all your vegetables. People eat veggies because they're good for you, until you add half a pound of salt to every 1 head of broccoli. I know I'm no Bobby Flay, but come on Sodexo... Step up your game.

Welcome Back

Welcome back Plymouth students! It's crazy how much things have already changed from sophomore to freshman year just in these short few weeks back. First of all, the dorms... Being stuck in Geneva Smith last year really made me appreciate the little things in life, like my own shower. Therefore, there was no way I was living without one this time around. Getting a student apartment didn't work out, so Langdon Woods it is. Move in day was flawless, no traffic and plenty of empty white bins hanging around to stack my life into. A double room with plenty of floor space for countless activities, air conditioning, and the real kicker, our own bathroom! And let me tell you, this bathroom is no rundown little room either; it's actually quite nice. There's plenty of space for two girls in our room. We have our three tapestries covering the walls, and posters and pictures covering whatever white area is exposed after that. Unlike Smith, we have real walls here in Langdon... No more jail cell concrete walls that are completely incapable of holding any homey item upon them. And, my favorite part, we have carpet! No more cold tile floors during the winter and no more massive hairball tumbleweeds flying across the floor (Girls, you understand what I'm talking about). Smith just wasn't a home to me last year, with it's lackluster appearance and horrible setup. It's a new year, a new room, and I can't wait to see how unreal round 2 in Plymouth is about to be.
